“EPAA to Host First Afghanistan International Carpet Fair in Kabul Sept 2-4, 2007”
The newly established Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan (EPAA) under the guidance of the Afghan Ministry of Commerce & Industry has announced their first major event for the promotion of the Afghan rug sector with the upcoming “Afghanistan International Carpet Fair” (AICF) to be held at the famed Kabul Serena Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan from September 2 – 4, 2007.
The fair is to attract buyers and wholesalers from all over the world and allow them an opportunity to witness first-hand the beauty and art of an Afghan-made rug. Furthermore, buyers will have an exclusive opportunity to meet and network with local producers with high potential for future business partnerships.
A trade delegation of U.S. businesses involved in the rug sector is in process of being organized from Washington, D.C. with the general support of the Afghan Embassy and U.S. government.
